Blaine Bailey
Meet Blaine, the founder and Director of In The Weeds. Formerly a sous chef at Carver Brewing Company and El Moro Spirits & Tavern, Blaine now operates In the Weeds full time, driven by firsthand experience with mental health issues in the industry. His journey fuels our dedication to fostering a resilient community within the service industry.

Emilia Majewski
Meet Emilia, our Program Manager, dedicated to enhancing self-care incentives at In The Weeds! Raised in a Polish immigrant household, where she played a pivotal role in translating and supporting her family in a new country, Emilia brings a unique perspective to her role. With a robust background in Public Health and four years specializing in substance use and Suicide Prevention, she holds a Bachelor of Science from DePaul University in Chicago. Passionate about mental health, art, and outdoor adventures like rafting and skiing, Emilia has lived in the Front Range, the tourist mountain community of Summit County, and has called Durango home since 2020. She is excited to contribute her expertise, influenced by her rich cultural upbringing, to In The Weeds.

Heleny Zacamolpa
Meet Heleny, a dedicated health equity advocate! Providing community connections, mental health assistance, and bilingual awareness, she double majored in Public Health and Exercise Physiology at Fort Lewis College. Passionate about reducing disparities in the Latinx community, she empowers individuals through bilingualism. Enthusiastic about paddleboarding, hiking, and reading, she aspires to address language barriers and cultural insensitivities in healthcare for community well-being.

Ted Davis
Meet Ted! He is In The Weeds' Outreach Coordinator, serving as an AmeriCorps member through United Way of Southwest Colorado's TeamUP La Plata Program. Raised in Sedona, Arizona, Ted grew up in the restaurant industry, starting at age 12 in his parents' two restaurants. With over a decade of experience in both front and back of house, Ted brings valuable insights into the unique challenges faced by industry workers.
Ted holds a BA in Adventure Education and Human Development from Prescott College. He’s excited to bring his experiences from adventure and wilderness therapy to the team at In The Weeds. Passionate about personal growth, outdoor activities, gaming, and meditation, Ted brings a holistic approach to supporting others.
Since moving to Durango in 2017, Ted has been eager to contribute to the community and help industry workers thrive.
